So today marks the first day of the first challenge group I've been a part of with my amazing beach body team.. it's the 21 day challenge! WooHoo! I'm so excited to start but even more excited to see the results after 21 days!
I figured that throughout this journey I could keep up with my blog, try to do daily postings, and show y'all my results and offer any advice/help that you may want/need! I also thought that in this post I should explain a little bit about me, my life, and what made me decide to embark on this new healthy lifestyle journey!
So, first off, I'm 23 years old. I am married to my absolute best friend, and he is the best person in my life and brings out the best in me. He is a US Marine who currently is away from home more then he is at home. It gets hard at times, but I just remind myself of the amazing, selfless, thing that my husband is doing for his country and for us and I am okay with sacrificing my time with him. At the moment he is training in California, at CAX, which sadly is pre-deployment training. That means that when he comes home in a couple weeks...he will be leaving for deployment. It's such a bitter sweet feeling. Knowing that he will be going back overseas, back to Afghan, back to the place where I feel like I JUST got him back from, back to a life of 5 min phone calls every few weeks and back to never ending waiting. It makes my heart ache and my eyes water just thinking about it. Deployment is the hardest thing I have ever had to face and I can't believe that I will be facing it again. But it will all be okay, at least that's what I keep telling myself.
My husband is stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and we live in base housing. We lived off base out in town for a while but we recently decided that living on base would be better. I feel safer living on base and its perfect with his deployment coming up soon. We have two fur babies, a cat named Chase and a dog named Bella. I love my babies so much. They make it easier for me to be without Adam. They keep me busy and keep me strong. I'm going to school to be a Medical Assistant and I should have my degree in about a year.
Starting this healthy lifestyle journey was FAR from easy for me. I struggled with staying on track with exercising and eating better for a long time. After getting married and moving to a different state I gained TOO much weight and I was just plain uncomfortable with everything. I made the decision and was FINALLY able to stick with it after my husband left for CAX in the beginning of July. It makes it easier for me to stick with a routine when I have only that to focus on. With my husband gone I have nothing but time and going to the gym and working out took up time.. which is good because I'm wanting time to go by fast.
So, its been about two weeks since I've committed to this journey and today marks the first day of the 21 day challenge. I am going to post my before pictures, my before weight, and my before measurements. Then as time progresses in this challenge I will do update posts and on the last day I will do a transformation post!
So, here is my before picture:
(Don't mind the towel on my head, just got out of the shower when I took the pics)
My before weight: 162.4 lbs
My before measurements:
Hips: 39.5
Chest: 38
Right Arm: 12
Left Arm: 12
Right Thigh: 22
Left Thigh: 22
In order to progress in this challenge I will be going to the gym everyday and incorporating some Turbo Fire and Brazilian Butt Lift. I will eat more healthy and I will keep up with a healthy sleep schedule.
Okay, so that's it for this post but be sure to comment below if you have ANY questions about anything! I'm always here to help!
